Why I Started Bookett

Over the years, I found myself planning a wide range of life events—baby showers, graduations, funerals, baseball games, and everything in between. Each occasion mattered deeply, yet the process of coordinating vendors, securing locations, and aligning schedules was consistently overwhelming. What frustrated me most was discovering a vendor I loved, only to learn they were unavailable on the day I needed them. I knew I wasn’t alone in that experience. Event planning should feel meaningful, not exhausting. Bookett was born from that realization. I wanted to create a platform that removes the guesswork, reduces the stress, and gives people a simple, reliable way to plan events with confidence.

My Experience

For the past fifteen years, I have worked within a Fortune 500 company designing applications across a wide range of commercial industries. My work has spanned small, middle, and large commercial business, as well as internal partnerships with Actuarial, Claims, Operations, and Sales and Distribution teams. This breadth of experience has shaped how I approach problem solving, system design, and user experience. It has also given me a deep understanding of how to build tools that are intuitive, scalable, and grounded in real-world needs. That foundation positions me to lead Bookett with clarity and purpose—creating a platform that improves event planning for individuals, families, and businesses alike.
